Baby Doll

This baby doll was one of my first glass castings from 2008. The body is made out of muslin that I hand sewed together.
She (I decided it was a girl) now resides in my kitchen in between the rice and sugar jars...

Hands!

Because of the tactile nature of my work I have always been fascinated with hands. This is a photo series I created in 2008. All of them are displayed together but I included a few closeups.

Beginnings

I have been working a lot with metal and glass within the past year, but have not limited my materials to solely those two. I like to use glass and other materials as a way of creating what I call "small-scale sculpture." I am still in school and am learning different techniques that I hope will give way to an even bigger and better body of work. For now I have these pieces but will keep adding as I continue to create.
