Baby Doll


This baby doll was one of my first glass castings from 2008. The body is made out of muslin that I hand sewed together.
She (I decided it was a girl) now resides in my kitchen in between the rice and sugar jars...

    There are so many nuances to this piece--so many thoughts to consider as "she" sits in her glass jar. Even to identify her as a "she"....

    What is her story? what is the context in which she sits? What are her possibilities, her options, her limitations?
